Zainab Kamran is an Associate at NeosLegal with a focus on virtual assets, web3 regulation, and digital asset compliance in the UAE and broader MENA region. She advises a range of clients including VASPs, crypto startups, token issuers, and DAOs on structuring, licensing, and regulatory strategy under the frameworks of VARA, ADGM, DIFC, SCA, and the Central Bank of the UAE.
Zainab’s work includes conducting detailed regulatory assessments, drafting legal opinions on token classification, supporting VASPs through the licensing process, and advising on offshore and onshore corporate structuring. She also counsels clients on UAE marketing and promotions laws as they relate to crypto projects, influencer engagement, and token launches.
She is regularly involved in cross-border structuring mandates and collaborates closely with founders, product teams, and in-house counsel to provide clear, commercially grounded legal advice in fast-moving web3 environments.
Zainab holds an LLM in International Business Law from King’s College London and a master’s degree in International Competition and Trade Law from Boğaziçi University. Her background includes litigation and advisory work across commercial, financial, and constitutional law in both the UAE and Pakistan, giving her a unique cross-jurisdictional perspective on digital asset regulation.
